Heath House believes that sport should be treated with the same level of seriousness as any other subject. Sport is vital to children’s physiological development, to their performance in class and to their general self-discipline. 

Heath House has the use of a gymnasium and swimming pool within a sports centre, as well as rugby and football pitches nearby on the Heath. All children participate in weekly games lessons on the Heath, in addition to Gym & Dance lessons which take place at school. Upper School have weekly sessions at Herne Hill Velodrome in Autumn Term, and The Reach climbing wall in Spring Term. In the Summer Term the children have Athletics on the Heath. These activities are included in our school day as part of our curriculum and come at no extra cost.

In both the Pre-Prep and Prep parts of the school, a different sport is undertaken three times a week per term. These are as follows:

Pupil achievements in Sports

Heath House participates in several tournaments throughout the year. Most recently, notable achievements include winning the Dulwich College U11’s Football tournament as well as winning the Eltham College U11’s Football tournament. The Heath House team also placed 2nd at the Alleyn's School U11’s Football tournament. Our extracurricular sport activities extend beyond Football, with teams participating in ISA tournaments as well as Athletics tournaments with other local schools.
