Our History

Established in 1993, Heath House is a co-educational independent preparatory school for children aged between 3 and 11 years.

Located in the heart of Blackheath Village, SE3, the school comprises three buildings, with two annexes to its main building in Wemyss Road: Tranquil Hall, the original village school building (1851) and The Old Library in Blackheath Grove.

Heath House is an accredited member of the Independent Schools Association (ISA) and is inspected by the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI).

Since opening its doors in 1993, Heath House has grown from a single building to a multi-site institution, deeply integrated into the historic and vibrant community of Blackheath. Our commitment to providing exceptional education has led to the expansion of our facilities and curriculum, offering enriching experiences both locally and abroad.
