Heath House offers a wide range of extracurricular activities, to complement the extensive curriculum. All clubs run after school and cost a small additional fee.
Heath House has the use of rugby and football pitches nearby on the Heath, as well as outdoor space for Games on the Heath.

Beyond the curriculum, Heath House offers a range of opportunities for further enrichment.
Community is at the core of the Heath House values. Our pupils and staff regularly participate in community outreach events. Our pupils often litter pick in the local area. We also participate in Jeans for Genes day, where pupils are encouraged to wear Jeans to school and donate £2 to Genetic Disorders UK. The school hosts a variety of charity events throughout the year, including the Big Toddle - a short, sponsored walk for children under five for Barnardos, NSPCC Bobble Hat Day, foodbank workshops and so much more. One of our most beloved traditions is at Christmas time, where the Upper School students (Prep 5 & 6) go to Morden College and sing for the elderly residents. Details of community events and more can be found on our calendar and social media.
All trips offered at Heath House are action packed, educational and most importantly great fun for the children. There are age and number limits on some of the trips with priority given to the Year 6 pupils. These trips are at additional cost.
Heath House has previously organised a week long Classics trip to Greece or Italy. Children from Years 3 to 6 have Classics as part of their History timetable. They receive a good foundation in the civilisation and culture of ancient times. The Classics trips are a unique opportunity to visit the sites and relics that the children have studied in class. It becomes much more real when they are actually running round the original Olympic stadium in Olympia, for example, visiting the Parthenon in Athens, or equally marvelling at Michelangelo’s work on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel and visiting Mount Vesuvius! These are just a few of the many experiences of these Classics trips.
The trip is essentially an adventure trip, based in the Royal Borough of Tain near Inverness in the Scottish Highlands. Children visit places in the Scottish Highlands where they have the opportunity to watch salmon leaping, go on an outdoor highland adventure walking in the hills with a highland ranger, go dolphin and seal sighting, and take a tour of Dunrobin Castle. The children also have the chance to view a fantastic falconry exhibition, tour the Inverness Caledonian Thistle football club, visit RAF Tain to observe at close range RAF fighter planes practising, take a trip to Cromarty to play on the beach, explore Landmark Activity Park, visit the cinema, go bowling and much more!
PGL is the UK’s leading provider of school trips and children’s adventure holidays – offering outdoor education and adventures of a lifetime to children since 1957.’
PGL offers a wide range of residential courses across the UK, designed to stimulate, educate and motivate primary school pupils. Encouraging team building and leadership skills, the multi-activity residential courses combine fun and personal development in a lively and supportive environment. They keep the pupils busy from breakfast to bedtime with a huge variety of land and water based adventure activities. Mornings and afternoons are each split into two sessions so that children can experience up to four different outdoor activities each day. By extending them socially, physically and mentally, a Multi-Activity course gives the children far more than simply academic achievement by which to measure themselves. Heath House takes children every year on a 2 night, 3 day PGL trip either to Wiltshire or Sussex.
